Obituary For Edward Roley Stover

Edward Roley Stover, 80 of Jacksonville, NC passed away peacefully, Monday, December 20, 2021, with his granddaughter, Cathy Mikesell LeMay and her husband, Simon by his side. Edward was born September 11,1941 to the late Weldon Roley and Viola Hall Stover. Also, preceding him in death was his loving and faithful wife Leona M. Stover.
Edward is survived by a son, Robert Haun of Ohio; two daughters, Karen Haun of Florida and Sharon Haun of Ohio; brother, Ronald Stover of Fort Worth, TX; Eight grandchildren; Eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and one on the way.
Edward was well known as, “Vietnam Charlie”. Most people would recognize him walking into town wearing camouflage. His other nickname was, “Uncle Si” from the Duck Dynasty show. Edward was the sweetest man you could meet. If he liked you, he was going to bring you lottery tickets. If you were accepted into the family, the same thing, you got lottery tickets. There are so many wonderful attributes to say about Edward, but his kindness and sense of humor is what stands out the most. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, but forever in our hearts.
Services will be private at a later date.
