I started my first career as a Surgical Tech at the Craven Surgery center and had the privilege to work with Lorraine. She taught me all about eyes and had so much love and compassion for her patients and co-workers. She loved everything about eyes and wanted everyone to be able to see. She could tell you anything and everything you wanted to know about eyes. She did tickle me eating her raisin and peanut butter sandwiches for break. I am so thankful i had the opportunity to know Lorraine and learn from the best. Lorraine was the the best co-worker and friend. Fly high my Angel. I know you are watching over us all. Love you beautiful! 💗

First, I would like to offer my sincere sympathy to Lorraine's family. I had the pleasure of working with Lorraine for over 20 years as my scrub nurse in the operating room. I cannot imagine having a better scrub nurse. She was a complete professional; her attention to detail and her compassion for the patient were unparalleled. Lorraine has left a legacy of excellence and dedication. She was much beloved and her passing has deeply affected all who worked with her. I will miss this extraordinary woman who with her pleasant, sweet and caring ways I was privileged to work beside.

Lorraine was a dear friend and coworker. Anyone could walk into the eye room and feel right at home as long as Lorraine was in there. She took care of us.. she knew her job and ours too. She was always smiling, laughing, and thinking. She always wanted to make things better for everyone around her. Al, Nichole, Shawn, and Chase I know you all by names and have never even met you in person. She shared so many stories of her love for each of you that I too grew to "know" and care for you. Lorraine and I shared the love of travel and the love of our families. The surgery center family will always have a hole in our hearts that belongs to Lorraine. She will be missed dearly. I am so very sorry for your pain and loss. Praying for you all daily.
