What a wonderful friend Gary was! Growing up and spending time with Gary and his Family at their home on Brunswick Street and sharing in the many Sports that we played together in HS and later.... were some of my greatest memories. I will certainly miss Gary but, not nearly as much as I will always remember him. Rest in Peace ol' buddy!

Trying to come up with one memory to share is really difficult. But I believe my greatest memory was just days after my son was born. He was premature and had a club foot so he had a cast on his leg and was very small. Gary, Cindy and I went to the mall and a lady walked up to us and gave the most horrible look at my son. She said "oh how pathetic, what happened" and Gary didn't miss a beat. He grabbed my son, looked at the woman in her eyes and said "skiing accident", and then he turned around and walked away. Cindy and I were laughing hysterically and that woman looked like she had just been slapped. That's my perfect memory of Gary. I love you all so much. I wish I could be there. Thoughts and prayers forever.

Today is the day that we lay to rest a Great Marine, a great family man and a great comedian. Gary brought many laughs with him wherever he went through a quick magic trick or joke. He joined our family at Quality Roofers when I was only 7 years old and has been instrumental in my life. From sitting and talking with him about his family and his wife, Cindy, that he cared so much for to hearing stories about Vietnam and employees who had come and gone over the years, he was truly one of the rocks in our family here at Quality Roofers. I will miss his laugh and stellar memory of times long past. To Gary's family near and far, may your hearts be filled with joy and love knowing that he loved each and every one of you and was a proud family man.

Gary was a great man, committed to his family, his career and his country. If I had to describe him in a word, it would be "dependable." We shared many laughs, stories and life lessons and I am without a doubt a better man because of him. Thank you to the family for sharing him with us for so long and prayers for healing as I know he left a hole that can't be filled.
