Obituary For Grace Swinson Cowell
Mrs. Grace Swinson Cowell,87, daughter of Jehovah, Child of God went to be with Jesus, on Friday October 14, 2022 at 6:00 AM, from her home with her family by her side. She was born in Onslow county on June 5, 1935; daughter of the late Willie and Sallie Mae Parker Swinson.
She was the devoted wife to her late husband, Thomas Guy Cowell, loving mother and mother-in-law to Jerry Arnold Cowell, Sr. of Swansboro, Dallas Ray Cowell (Pasty) of Jacksonville, Sally Cowell Fountain of the home, Tommy Lee Smith (the son of the heart) and daughter-in-law, Patty Cowell of Wilson.
Also, preceded in death by her two sons; Glenn Thomas Cowell and Guy Willis Cowell and two brothers; Troy and Bobby Swinson.
She was a devoted, loving Grandmother, known as Grannie Grace, Nana Grace and just plain ole Grandma to Jerry Cowell, Jr, Jessie Cowell, Maria James, Tammy Layman, Dorothy Wade, Crystal Garrison, Brittany Quinn, Brooke Cowell, Brandon Fountain and Elizabeth Hiatt.
In addition she leaves behind 26 deeply loved Great grands and 18 Great Great Grands.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home, 2685 Henderson Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28546. A Celebration of life services will follow at 2:00 pm. in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Bill Gay Jr., Mike Jarman and Nelson Padgett officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park, 3280 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Baltezegar, Andy Coleman, Nick Favriti, Jededrah Larabec, Ethan Mullins and Floyd Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Cowell, Stanley Crews, Jimmy Kendrick, Irvin Waller and Bradley Willaford.
