Joyce Gray North Forbes, 83, of Beulaville, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021at Vidant Beaufort Hospital, Washington. She was the beloved wife of the late Elton Forbes.

Born in Swansboro, October 21, 1937, a daughter of the late Edward Lee and Mary Ann Carter North, she had worked for the Standard division of Dupont Co. until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Edwynna Wilkins Bowman and her husband Michael Bowman of Maryland, her step-daughter, Joanne Forbes Dodd and her husband Keith Dodd of Bailey, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Elton, she was predeceased by her son Donald Augusta Wilkins, Jr. and her brother Alston “Al” North. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, September 10, 2021 from 3:00pm-4:00pm at Johnson Funeral Home, Richlands.
