Obituary For Lottie Mae Humphrey Powell

Lottie Mae Humphrey Powell, 98, formerly of Richlands, was called home to the Lord Thursday, July 28, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late JC Powell, Sr.

Lottie was born in Onslow County, September 3, 1923 to the late Guy Humphrey Sr., and the late Lillie Ellis Humphrey and she had worked as a health care worker for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Cole of Beulaville; her sons, JC Powell, Jr. of Beulaville, Mark Anthony Powell, Jimmy Powell, Curtis Powell, Sherman Powell, all of Richlands, and Allen Powell of Maple Hill; her sister Ann Summerlin of Sneads Ferry, 28 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Besides her husband JC and parents, Guy and Lillie, she was predeceased by her daughter Kay P. Cutler, her sons, Leslie Powell and Wesley Powell, her sisters, Eula Horne, Lois Davis, Irene Jarman, Marie Jarman and her brothers Matthew Humphrey, Stanley Humphrey, Guy Humphrey, Jr., and Bobby Humphrey.

Visitation for Lottie will be Monday, August 1, 2022 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home, 2685 Henderson Drive in Jacksonville. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with her son Rev. Allen Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Onslow Memorial Park
