Mary “Mary Lou” Marshburn, 85 of Richlands, passed away Monday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family.Mary Lou was an amazing person who loved and adored her family and friends. She was a lifetime member of Bethany Baptist Church. She never missed having her snuff “candy” and enjoyed her gardening along with sitting on her front porch. Although, Mary Lou has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, she will be missed by all, but remembered in our hearts forever.A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 6 – 8 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 1077 Nine Mile Road, Richlands, NC 28574. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 22, 2023 also at Bethany Baptist Church, followed by a Committal Service at Charles Field Cemetery on Ben Williams Road, Richlands. Pastor Nelson Padgett will be officiating. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband Roland Marshburn, son Charles Marshburn, parents Vass and Ida Swinson Gwynn, sisters Daisey Bell Foy, Patricia Foster, Lorraine Barber, Ronie Batchelor, and Nettie Foy; brothers, Pender Gwynn, Leonard Gwynn, and Charlie Gwynn.. She is survived by her sons Timmy Marshburn and wife Melinda of Richlands, Damon Marshburn of Richlands, O’Neal Marshburn of Richlands, and Garrett Marshburn and Wife, Amy of Richlands; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; and her 2 special furbabies, Snuggles and Milo.
