Matt was my coworker at Upstate Correctional Facility in NY from the time I transferred there in 2007 until his retirement. He was a very trusted and respected man, with a kind and gentle nature, and a great sense of humor. We always enjoyed the days that Matt would cook for us, and his French onion soup was like no other (just a "touch" of sherry made it good according to him). Thank you for being such a wonderful mentor and friend, Matt. You were one of the best. ❤️

Matt was a good man , always laughing carrying on , we grew to love Matt and Lynn as there daughter married our son, as time went on his daughter my son had two precious girls Madison and Riley whom Matt loved dearly, they moved from New York to be here with the girls, m father law passed so they moved here beside us to spend each day with them, so blessed to have known him, and that he was able to share his smile and laughter with us all , he will greatly be missed so much, our prayers are with Lynn and the family 🙏 Debbie Tollefsrud

I'm grateful to have shared many a good time with Uncle Hank and Aunt Maye, as well as my dear cousins. Although many of the Bezrutczyk's moved to Connecticut Mattie and his family remained in the NY/ LI area. It was wonderful to spend time at the lake house with them. I'll always have a special place in my heart for Cousin Mattie. May Gods light shine upon your wonderful Family. Prayers, Hugs, and Love to all. Teresa (Holmes) Dolinski & Ron Dolinski

Matt was always one of my best and closest friends growing up. I have so many Great memories of him. He taught me many things but the most important thing I learned from him was to not be afraid to try to do things. Matt would and could do anything. I wouldn't have accomplished many things in life if not for his inspiration. He had a big heart and always showed it. He was always a pleasure to be with. I will miss him dearly. To all his family my sincere condolences

Matt was my father in law and we shared an instant connection. I grew up without a dad and Matt never hesitated to welcome me into their family and step in and love me unconditionally like he loved his own children. Matt and I shared a love of cooking, and Lyn and the kids were quick to inform me that he didn't share his kitchen with just anyone. I'll always laugh about the time Matt taught me how to use his old pressure cooker for some potatoes and his care for me when I burned my arm on the steam releasing the pressure. Matt had a soft spot for a few people on this earth, and I am honored to have been one of those few people. Matt was sure to always tell me, " love ya, girl every time we said goodbye, and in true fashion, my response is and always will be, "I love you, too, Old Man". -Dominique

To all the Bezrutczyk family and especially Lynn, I will always recall Matt's great belly laugh and the many happy camping trips we did for so many Memorial Day Weekends. My deepest sympathy. Sending that nice photo from Chris & Marjorie's wedding to share. With Love and sadness, Mary Schuh- Clark
