Ruth (Brinn) Martin, 87 of Big Lake, MN, formerly of Jacksonville, N.C. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Ruth was born on November 1, 1935 to the late Ruebin and Sarah Giles Williams in Belhaven, North Carolina.
Also, preceding Ruth in death was her first husband, Dennard Franklin Brinn, who passed away in 2003; second husband Roy Martin; son, Dennard Franklin Brinn, Jr.; brother, Lonnie Williams; sister, Marie Jeffers and a granddaughter, Jennifer Wetherington.
Surviving Ruth are three daughters, Juanita Kaiser and husband Uwe, of Boise, ID, Doreen Garrett and husband Ron, of Annapolis, MD, Valerie Loftus and husband Kevin, of Big Lake, MN; grandchildren, Anna, Chris, Sherry, James, Sarah, Brian, Wendy and Kyle along with several loving great grandchildren and her fur babies Jack and Lucy.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was dedicated to her family and God and will be missed by all who knew her. Ruth will be forever in our hearts.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 10:00-11:00am at Johnson Funeral Home, 2685 Henderson Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28546, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am also at the funeral home. Interment will be at 12:00pm at Carolina Coast State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Landing Road, Jacksonville, NC.
