Sandra Kaye Rouse, 78, of Richlands, NC, passed peacefully Monday, March 20th 2023 at Onslow Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her Father, Charlie Rouse; Mother, Helen, and her Brother, Charles Jr. Surviving Sandra is a large and loving group of family and friends including her son, Justin Rouse (Karla); Sister Faye Weaver (Carl); Nephew, Tommy Weaver (Wendy); Niece, Michelle Sykes (Bobby) and Great Nieces Mandi Clark (Robert) and Kailyn Sykes. Sandra was a lifetime resident of Richlands and was a member of First Baptist Church. She worked for many years in civilian service for The Department of Defense and retired from Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Sandra followed her retirement with work for the U.S.Census Bureau and she continued serving the community in certain capacities including the Ruritan Club, Secretary and Treasurer of Richlands Volunteer Fire Department, and volunteered at the Richlands Community Outreach Ministry Thrift Store. A Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday March 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Richlands, 100 Rand St, Richlands NC 28574; followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Onslow Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome or donations in her honor may be made to First Baptist Church of Richlands.
