Shelby Jean Hill Hyde, age 86, of Sneads Ferry, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. She was born on October 29, 1936 in Sneads Ferry to the late George Allen and Agnes Hansley Hill. Also, preceding Shelby in death was her beloved husband of 55 years, Audley Willard Hyde; a brother, Shepard Hill and sister, Georgia Martin. Surviving Shelby are two sons, Jeffrey S. Hyde, of Wilmington, NC and Jason J. Hyde and wife, Kerry, of Surf City, NC; two daughters, Gloria H. Murray and husband, Randy, of Sneads Ferry, NC and Kim Hyde-Snyder and husband, Kevin, of Hampstead, NC; brother, Larry Hill of Sneads Ferry, NC; grandchildren, Thomas Patrick Murray, Shelly Miller, Sara Mehlhose, Justin and Lindsey Hyde, Madison Snyder and Fiona Hyde and 8 beautiful great-grandchildren. Shelby was the most beautiful person inside and out. Living her life for Christ, her husband, children and grandchildren was what Shelby loved the most. Shelby was a homemaker through and through, down to her love for gardening, reading, cooking, baking, sewing, quilting and making sure her family had a full course meal every day. We know that Mama is in the arms of Jesus which gives us the peace to heal. She will be missed, but will be in our hearts forever. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Salem Baptist Church, 198 Sneads Ferry Road, Sneads Ferry, NC 28460 at 1:00pm. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00pm. Burial services will follow at Onslow Memorial Park, 3280 Richlands Highway, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
