Shirley T Aikens, of Maple Hill, passed away March 19th 2023. Third of eight children, she was born August 11th 1936. She married David Aikens November 19th 1954. They had three wonderful children. She is survived by her sons David & Chris Aikens; her grandchildren Janie & Tyrel Lee; her great-grandchildren Hunter & Natalie Lee; and her brothers Ervin, Troy, Kenneth & Gary Silence. She also leaver her family of the heart Denise Stone, Heather Finley & NovaLee Finley.

I worked with Shirley at Camp Geiger. She taught me how to crochet. Very sweet lady. God bless her family.

Davy, Chris, Janie, and Tyrel, please accept my sorrow for your loss of a great mother/grandmother. My sister was very special to me. Throughout her life she treated me like I was a special brother to her. When I needed money, she loaned me money. When I needed a car to drive on special occasions when I was a young boy, she allowed me to drive the family car. She made many personal sacrifices throughout the years to maintain our brother sister relationship. I will always have the fondness memory s of my (Sis). Troy T Silence
