Sylvia Marie Green, 85, of Jacksonville, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus on November 11, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born in McComas, West Virginia on July 17, 1936, to the late Harry and Victoria Odle.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd Odle, Harry “Peanut” Odle and Bobby Odle and one sister, Nancy O'dell.

Sylvia is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 57 years, Lawrence Green, Jr.; two sons, Gary Gilbert and wife, Lisa of Jacksonville, NC and Lawrence “Larry” Ray Green and wife, Amie of Swansboro, NC; Daughter, Pam Sieber and husband Jeff, of Richlands, NC; four brothers, Tommy "Skip" Odle, William "Jimmy" Odle, Roscoe Odle and Lonnie Odle of Matoaka, WV; Grandchildren, Christopher Newton, Ryan, Eric and Jenna Gilbert, Hannah Sieber and Ella Green; Great Grandchildren, Makenzie Gilbert and Olivia Newton. A very special friend Diane Davis.

Sylvia was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing, baking and most of all her beautiful children and grandchildren. As we rejoice in the knowledge that she is in heaven, we are deeply saddened by her passing. She will be truly missed by all, but in our hearts forever.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 16th from 6pm-8pm at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17th at 10:30am at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, 2685 Henderson Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28546. Following the service at 12:00pm will be a committal service at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Landing Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540.
