Tommy is part of some of the best memories of my childhood since kindergarten. I will always think of him as a happy calm guy. My condolences to his family.

I was a childhood friend who reconnected with Tom online a few years ago. Sending love and support to the family. I will miss hearing from him. It was wonderful to find him again.

  • 08/13/2022

Tom always had a greeting and a smile whenever I brought a patient into the ER at Onslow. His sense of humor and kindness helped me through my clinicals. He made me laugh! May his family find peace.

I was stationed with Tom also on the USS Constitution in Boston during the best Historical time of the Ship. Being our Corpsman "Ships Doc" Tom always had us in stitches with his incredible sense of humor and humiliation....if you get it!! lol He was a character i will never forget and also had a Huge heart of Gold and compassion for his shipmates. I did get to speak with his daughter Sarah and see that his great personality and wit has filtered down to his children... "What wonderful children and wife Tom had and how much they all loved each other is just so beautiful. May his children be humbled to know how much he was so loved and the memories will live on for all of us. We know he is with his beloved at this time.... but will all see him again someday! Fair Winds and following Seas my friend and shipmate!

I was Tom's first roommate when he reported to the USS Constitution. We had some fun and was a great friend. He will be sorely missed by all of us who he touched. He did go to early. A wonderful man, friend, father, and husband, and always a sailor. Fair Winds.

I worked alongside Tom in the ER at onslow, he never failed in the begging of each shift to set a light mood for the rest of the shift. When I worked nights he was always the funniest, the life of the shift. Such a great person to have worked alongside and known.

I worked with Tom in Onslow's ER. I'm really sorry to hear of his passing. He was such a kind hearted guy- compassionate and full of love.

  • 08/11/2022

I worked with Tom for a few years at Onslow. Even though I wasn't clinical staff, he always greeted me with a smile and a "Hey buddy!" He was one of the first people in the ER to really greet me and get to know me. I will forever be grateful for meeting Tom and the smiles he put on my face!

I also was a SFIDC school classmate & Brother Corpsman of Tom's. Although we have not spoken in many years. If he were here we would start up a conversation like we saw each other yesterday. He was taken too early. I was the Ole' Salt, Tom was our Rock. Gunny will be missed. In his many years in the healthcare profession there are countless people his hands have touched, aided and comforted. Tom was funny, serious, friendly and just an all around good friend & Corpsman. And the customary; "Fair Winds and Following Seas". See you on the other side Brother.

I was a classmate of Tom, for over a year we shared in group study, clinic studies, and labs, Tom came to our class from the Fleet Marine Force and his behavior earned him the nickname in the class Gunny. Tom graduated from the top enlisted medical program that a Hospital Corpsman can attend Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman class SFIDC-13. May he Rest In Peace and may his family know that he served his Country with love and honor. He is respected and will be missed by the Sailors and Marines he served. A side note he served on the US Navy oldest commissioned ship USS Ironsides home ported In Boston MA. Prayers for his family.

Tom was a classmate of the Navy's Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman Class 13 "Polar Bears" for a year we worked studied and persevered together! We called him Old Gunny and if you knew Tom you know why! God Bless Shipmate you will be missed but your legacy in your care and training of Sailors and Marines will be carried on as long as the Navy exists! You have earned your rest and the Marines guarding the streets of heaven have welcomed you home! Your watch is relived Brother!
