Hubert, NC ~ Mr. William Francis Marion "Earl" Hardy, Jr, 95, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022. A native of Prince George County, MD, Earl was a long time resident of Onslow County, settling in Hubert. Earl was a retired US Marine, having served over 30 years in the Corps.. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2016.

Earl will be laid to rest, with full USMC Honors (date, day, time) at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Earl is survived by his daughter, Fran H. Szechenyi, of Roanoke, VA; his son, William F. "Bill" Hardy, III, of Hubert, NC; and his sister, Virginia H. Wallace, of Orlando, FL. He also leaves behind his nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
